The Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) will officially create and issue e-invoices at 0:00 on January 1, 2018, replacing the traditional paper invoices. The implementation will be carried out step by step, in which the Parent Company - the Group - and Petrolimex Ha Son Binh will take the lead and other Petrolimex member companies are expected to use e-invoices as of April 1, 2018.

Petrolimex’s issuance of e-invoices accords with the Ministry of Finance’s Circular No 32/2011/TT-BTC dated March 14, 2011 which guides the creation, issuance and usage of e-invoices in the sale of goods and provision of services. To implement the Circular, Petrolimex has researched and carried out the e-invoice project since May 19, 2015, and chose the VNPT-Vinaphone-Dakta Joint Venture through bidding as a prestigious and experienced supplier of solutions. With advantages available including the ERP-SAP human resource management software and petrol station management system - EGAS, Petrolimex’s electronic database is a premise for the convenient and accurate issuance of e-invoices throughout the whole system. On the other hand, the issuance of e-invoices will facilitate the effective use of the information technology system in the enterprise’s business and production activities, which is in line with the fourth industrial revolution 4.0, contributing to reducing costs and making petroleum business transparent.

Petrolimex Board of Management member – Deputy Director General and Head of E-Invoice Project Board Tran Ngoc Nam said: “The issuance of e-invoices is an indispensable trend, which helps reduce burdens to administrative procedures, facilitate consumers, and lessen business costs. Additionally, State management bodies will find it easier to search for information to control. This practice will benefit all, consumers, the State and enterprises.”

In addition to the supply of high quality products including EURO 5 standard diesel fuel from January 2018, and EURO 4 standard RON 95 petrol from January, 2017, the issuance of e-invoices at the beginning of 2018 further demonstrates Petrolimex’s leading position, always pioneering to provide customers with high quality products and professional services.

Key advantages of e-invoices:

• Convenience: Buyers/customers will find it easy to receive e-invoices through email addresses or visit Petrolimex website http://hoadon.petrolimex.com.vn

• Safety: E-invoices are stored in the form of data files, safe against the risk of loss, damage or tearing; using e-invoices is convenient for units in looking up and managing goods and costs. Invoices are created in the e-invoice system of Petrolimex; and stored in the form of electronic data in the server system of Petrolimex for 10 years. Data will easily be copied to prevent loss and to be recovered and searched for.

• Cost saving: Printing cost, machine investment/operation/maintenance costs, storage cost, shipping cost.

Petrolimex’s roadmap of electronic bill payment application:

• January 1, 2018: E-invoices will officially be used at the Mother Company – the Group and Petrolimex Ha Son Binh (including its members: Enterprise K133, Hoa Binh Branch, Son La Branch”.
• February 1, 2018: E-invoices will officially be used at Petrolimex Quang Ninh and Petrolimex Can Tho (including all members under these two companies).
• April 1, 2018: E-invoices are expected to be used at other Petrolimex’s member petroleum companies.
